Your driver picks you up early from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Your adventure begins with a drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). The road winds through stunning valleys, terraced farms, and traditional Berber villages.

Continue towards the Ounila Valley, once used by ancient caravans. Your first major stop is the  Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a remarkable UNESCO site and film location for productions such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. The journey continues through Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley, before reaching the enchanting landscapes of the Dades Valley.

After breakfast, drive through the winding roads of the Dades Gorges before reaching the Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs create a dramatic natural corridor. Enjoy free time to explore the oasis and the canyon. Next, continue to Erfoud, famous for its unique fossils and vibrant market. As you approach Merzouga, the scenery transforms into pure desert – the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear in the distance.

-Quick visit to Rissani, birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty and home to one of the oldest souks in southern Morocco.

In the late afternoon:

-Camel trek across the dunes at sunset

-Arrival at your standard Berber desert camp

-Tea welcome, traditional dinner, and Berber music around the fire

-Night in a comfortable standard tent under the stars

Wake up early to witness an unforgettable Sahara sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, ride your camel back to the meeting point to rejoin your vehicle.

Drive through Rissani, Alnif, and the stunning Drâa Valley, known for its endless palm groves, kasbahs, and desert scenery. Lunch is taken in a local restaurant (not included).

The final part of the journey takes you back across Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains, with multiple scenic stops before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
